Best GAMES of the MONTH
The first month of 2021 has come and gone. We’re taking a look back at the best new games that hit the App Store in January.
The Legend Continues
The game will shine a light on what happened centuries after the last game in the series, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm. Taking inspiration from classic 16-bit arcade games, you’ll be treated to rogue-lite dungeon crawling action with quick play sessions.
Reach Into a Living World
In Erica, you’ll guide the title character with a shocking past through her surrounding by using your touch to physically interact with her surroundings and people. With a branching narrative structure, there are multiple endings.
One Rad(ish) Dad
The radish dad is back for more action in the action platformer Dadish. After he accidentally looses his children, he’ll trek through 50 levels to get them back.
A Man and His Sword
Featuring visuals in a ink-and-wash painting style, you’ll take on the task of a samurai who lost the lord he served. To avenge his death, he’ll need to level up, unlock new abilities, and more while getting stronger.
An Arcade Puzzle Adventure
Head to outer space in Flipon: Space Puzzle Adventure. In the arcade puzzler, there are more than 75 levels spread out through more than five planets. Each planet is owned by a powerful guardian and the levels present a new challenge.
Return to Bikini Bottom
A faithful remake of the popular game, SpongeBob Square Pants has gamers head to Bikini Bottom for some under-sea action. You can play as SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy and make use of their skills to defeat Plankton and an army of robots.
In the metroidvania style exploration game Micetopia, you’ll play as a brave mouse who must explore a world of mystery and become the Hero of Micetopia. The game features pixel art graphics and chip tune sound.
Light and Shadow Collide
IrisFall is a puzzle adventure game highlighted by its monochrome art style and light and shadow system.
