My client is a fast-growing Start-up in Hong Kong backed by one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. They started the company with the intention to serve enterprises by a newly built cloud-based technology platform. They are seeking for experienced Software Engineers to building a data-driven platform to help businesses grow and expand their networks.
Full Stack Engineer (Java/Javascript)
Responsibilities
- Acts as a key member in the Software Engineering team to develop the platform together with the Product and Business teams
- Write readable, well-designed, maintainable, scalable and fully tested software codes
- Make positive influences to the features of a website/platform which is designed for external business uses. You will also be involved in the decision-making process that will significantly impacts the business goals of the company
- A positive thinker and always provide constructive feedback to improve the team culture and environment
- Contribute and refine the Agile development process
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience hand-on coding HTML, CSS and other UI technologies
- Deep knowledge on React, VUE or AngularJS and commonly used modules
- Solid in at least one programming language (preferably in Java and it’s corresponding open source frameworks, alternatively Python), plus web applications development (html, css, standard set of javascript frameworks – Bootstrap, React JS, Angular JS and the javascript language itself)
- Good understanding on micro services architecture, cloud-based services, 12 factors cloud native principles, and common security vulnerabilities
- Strong in data structure and common algorithms, know when and how to use the most appropriate data structure and algorithm to write efficient software
- Practical knowledge in Containerization, such as Docker and Kubernetes Clusters and apply DevOps and Infrastructure as code concepts
- Good understanding of BDD/ TDD
- Fast learner and pick up new technologies when necessary
