Microsoft Plans to Add Activision Blizzard Games into iOS-Accessible Game Pass
The studio is behind a string of gaming hits like Overwatch, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Candy Crush, and many more.
And with the acquisition, iOS gamers can also expect Microsoft’s Game Pass to get even better. Microsoft said in a release that it plans to add Activision Blizzard games into Game Pass.
Anyone with an iOS device can access Game Pass through the xCloud Gaming service currently in an open beta.
Instead of an app, subscribers can access the service through Safari and head to xbox.com/play.
To take advantage of more than the 100 games, you’ll need a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You can pay $1 for the first three months and then it’s $14.99 monthly. An Xbox Live Gold and EA Play membership is also included.
While some games are touch-enabled, Microsoft recommends a gaming controller. The service is also available on PCs or Xbox consoles.
Adding Activision Blizzard content for Game Pass subscribers should continue to bolster the Microsoft service. It provides a different take on gaming compared to Apple Arcade which is mostly composed of more casual games instead of console-quality titles.
